The clear explanation about my small operation on a finger was formative and reasuring. Being given options also over which anaesthetic to choose made you feel in control of the whole experience. All questions however small were answered thoroughly.

I was particularly worried about an operation on my thumb/hand as I am a mature art student, I enjoy fine needlework and have a large garden to tend, however Mr Harley operated on three aspects of my hand at the beginning of November and I am now able to take part in all my hobbies and interests.

I have found my whole experience from the first consultation, to the post op after care to be excellent. Mr Harley was incredibly informative of my diagnosis, bilateral carple tunnel syndrome. He explained the condition, listened to my worries, went on to explain what the operation would involve, put my mind at rest and went ahead in booking the op. On the morning of the op, Mr Harley came to see me, once again going through the procedure, ensuring I was happy with everything and going through the consent forms. I was happy to sign. Mr Harley then introduced the local anaesthetic. I was prepped in theatre, Mr Harley made me feel quite relaxed and I felt very confident in him. The op went very well, Mr Harley talked to me all the way through, was very kind. I was taken back to my room and given a sandwich and cup of coffee. Then discharged with medication. I'm now nearly five months post op and see Mr Harley in clinic this morning. I'm very pleased with the outcome, I've had this problem since I was 18yrs old and now 58yrs !!! Just wonderful, no carple tunnel pain since day one of op. Recovery is nearly complete.. Cant thank Mr Harley enough. Amazing care , can barely see any scars either. Thank you so very much.
